Matjhabeng Solar Complex
The project is a 525MW Solar PV complex with 2 x 40MW (2 x 160MWh) BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), to be implemented in three distinct phases on over 2200ha of land leased to Sunelex Energy from the Matjhabeng Municipality in the Free State Province. This is high solar irradiance (DNI) area.
